Negotiations are getting a practical direction: Zelensky

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has indicated that progress is being made within the ongoing peace talks between the Ukrainian and Russian delegations. He said in a very video message after talks between the 2 sides on Tuesday night, local time, that the talks are on a practical path. The news came from a Reuters report.

On February 24, Russian forces launched a "special military operation" in Ukraine. afterward, the 2 sides discussed several points but didn't see much progress. the 2 sides were last discussed online again on Tuesday.

"The meeting will continue," Zelensky said in a very video message released on Tuesday night. I've got been informed that the discussion is proceeding in an exceedingly more realistic manner than before. However, the talks will take longer to achieve a call in Ukraine's interests.

Ukrainian officials have expressed hope that the war could end before expected. They think the war could last until May. Because, during that point, Russia's logistics will decrease. The country won't be able to add new troops to the war.

Indicating a possible compromise recently, Zelensky said Ukraine does not want to hitch NATO.

Russia has said since the beginning of the operation that it doesn't want neighboring Ukraine to affix NATO. Russia sees NATO expansion in Eastern Europe as a threat. one in every one of the explanations Russia cites attacks on neighboring Ukraine is Kiev's try and gain NATO membership.

Russia and Ukraine are set to resume talks on Wednesday. Zelensky also will provide a virtual speech within the United States Congress today.

Earlier, on February 26, representatives of the 2 countries met for the primary time in Gomel, Belarus. The discussion lasted for five hours. The second meeting was continued on March 3 in Belovezskaya Puscha, Belarus. Ukraine and Russia agreed to launch a humanitarian corridor to evacuate civilians from the meeting. Later, on March 6, the third meeting was held within the Brest region of Belarus. On March 10, Russian minister Sergei Lavrov and his Ukrainian counterpart Dmitry Kuleba held talks at a diplomatic forum in Anatolia, Turkey.
